Terms and Conditions of Use

1. When booking a locum the ‘contract’ will be between the specified Wessexdoc doctor (henceforth known as the the ‘doctor’) and the requesting practice, and not, with the Wessexdoc group (henceforth known as the ‘group’). Therefore specific queries, surgery times and cancellation protocol will be directed at the doctor rather than the group.

2. All doctors associated with Wessexdoc are well regarded practioners. Wessexdoc, however, do not check credentials. Wessexdoc accept no responsibility for errors in documentation or the validity of doctors references. The responsibility of verifying credentials and references remain the responsibility of the booking practice.

3. Each doctor will contact the requesting surgery directly to confirm each booking as soon as possible (usually on the same working day) via telephone and/or email.

4. The surgery will not rely on the booking until confirmation is received.

5. If a surgery has to cancel a locum session they have to give reasonable notice (minimum 2 weeks) or they will be invoiced for the full cost of the session booked.

6. A doctor will not cancel a booked session unless due to extreme extenuating circumstances (i.e. illness). On the rare occasion this might happen, another member of the group will aim to cover the session if they are available.

7. In the unlikely event of a complaint or medical error, this should be directed towards the doctor and not the group.
